SCHOOL PRIORITIES  2023-2024

OBJECTIVES

 

Objective 1:  Achieve proficency in Year 2 and Year 6 resulting in RWM results for CORE pupils, in both expected proficiency and greater depth to be   within a 5% range of the 2023 national average. Monitor progress of new West Acton pupils for at least expected advancements.

Objective 2: Ensure the efficient operation of mainstream SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and ARP (Additional Resource Provision) offer, optimise the effectiveness of leadership and support staff in their roles resulting in   all pupils' needs being adequately addressed. This includes pupils who do not yet have an EHCP but require one as well as pupils who have a need that does not meet the EHCP criteria.

Objective 3: Increase the attendance rate of persistent absentees by at least 10% within the current academic year through targeted interventions and support strategies.

Objective 4: By the end of the academic year, establish robust routines for aiding pupils' recall of prior learning in all subjects, eliminating the gaps where these routines are less established. This will lead to improved retention of essential facts from prior learning across the curriculum.

Objective 5: Strengthen school-community ties by actively involving parents/carers, local businesses and community organisations in school initiatives.
