SCHOOL PRIORITIES  2024-2025

OBJECTIVES

Objective 1:

Achieve proficiency in Reading, Writing, and Math for pupils in Year 2 and Year 6, resulting in RWM (Reading, Writing, and Mathematics) results for CORE pupils, in both expected level and greater depth, to be within a 5% range of the 2024 national average. Monitor the progress of new West Acton pupils to ensure at least expected advancements. Integrate the use of a digital strategy to support these goals.

Objective 2:

Ensure the efficient operation of mainstream SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and ARP (Additional Resource Provision) services, optimising the effectiveness of leadership and support staff in their roles. The goal is to ensure that all pupils' needs are adequately addressed, including those who do not yet have an EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) but require one, as well as those with needs that do not meet the EHCP criteria. Integrate a digital strategy to enhance the provision and monitoring of support as well as pupils’ learning.

Objective 3:

Monitor the attendance rate of persistent absentees and aim to improve by at least 10% within the current academic year through targeted interventions and support strategies, integrating a digital strategy to enhance monitoring and engagement.

Objective 4:

By the end of the academic year, establish robust routines for aiding pupils' recall of prior learning in all subjects, eliminating gaps where these routines are less established. This will lead to improved retention of essential facts from prior learning across the curriculum. Integrate a digital strategy to support and enhance these routines.

Objective 5:

Strengthen school-community ties by actively involving parents/carers, local businesses, and community organisations in school initiatives. Integrate a digital strategy to enhance communication, engagement, and collaboration with all stakeholders.
